Money back

The ServiceM8 £1,000 rebate, explained properly

ServiceM8 pays back everything you spend on setup with a certified partner, up to £1,000. There is one way to lose it before you begin.

A stack of yellow banknotes with a pound sign returning into an open hand inside a circular arrow, in a bold flat illustration

Short answer. ServiceM8 pays back 100% of what you pay a certified, directory-listed partner for first-time setup and training, capped at £1,000. It arrives as credit against your subscription, not money in your bank. Pay me £800, get £800 back.

That is the whole scheme. The rest of this page is detail, and the detail is where people lose the money.

Checked 17 August 2026

Every quote below was read that day from ServiceM8's own rebate page. Their scheme, their terms, and terms change. Read it again on the day you subscribe.

What you actually get back

ServiceM8's wording: "100% of the value paid to the ServiceM8 Partner for first-time setup and training services, including any tax, up to a maximum of £1,000".

Read the first half of that, not the second. It is 100% of what you paid. The £1,000 is a ceiling, not a figure anybody hands out. Against my prices:

  • Training on its own, £250, comes back as £250.
  • Setup, £650, comes back as £650.
  • Setup and training together, £800, comes back as £800.

You would have to spend over £1,000 with a partner before that cap touched you, and most trade businesses never will. Which is why I say £800 back, not "up to £1,000". That version sounds bigger and tells you less.

It is credit, and here is exactly how it lands

ServiceM8 state this and leave you to do the sum. Their words: the credit is "applied to your monthly ServiceM8 subscription payments, at a rate of 50% of your plan's base price, til the credit runs out". And, flatly, "no cash is being offered".

So nobody sends you £800. Half your monthly bill gets paid for you instead, for as long as £800 lasts at that rate. On most plans, a long time.

The catch worth knowing

Credit only turns into money you keep while you are still subscribed. Sixty four months on Starter is over five years of paying ServiceM8 to collect the full £800. If you cancel after a year you keep the year of half price bills and the rest simply stops. It is still free money, it just is not a cheque, and it is worth knowing before you count it as one.

£800 of credit at 50% of base plan price. ServiceM8 UK prices exclude VAT.
PlanNormal priceYou pay while credit lastsHow long £800 lasts
Starter£25£12.5064 months
Growing£59£29.50About 27 months
Premium£119£59.50About 13 months
Premium Plus£269£134.50About 6 months

Growing at £59 is the first plan where asset management switches on and where you can build your own forms and certificates. There, £800 is over two years at half price. Not settled on a plan? The full UK price ladder is here.

Two things follow. The credit comes off a subscription, so there has to be one. And it burns faster on a dear plan, half of £269 being a lot more than half of £25.

The mistake that voids it before you start

This is the most valuable paragraph on the page. You have to subscribe through the Online Dashboard, in a browser, at servicem8.com/login-page. ServiceM8 name three routes that kill the rebate outright: third-party app stores, subscribing through your Xero account, and Apple In App Purchase.

That last one catches people, because it is the natural thing to do. You download ServiceM8 on your iPhone, the trial ends, the app asks you to subscribe, you tap the button and put your thumb on the sensor. Ten seconds, done. You have just subscribed through Apple and lost the £800.

Nothing warns you at the time. You find out later, when the claim comes back.

Subscribe on the website, never in the app

Open servicem8.com/login-page in a browser, log in, take the subscription out there. Not the iPhone app's payment prompt. Not an app store. Not Xero. Already subscribed another way? Tell me before you book, because it changes what I can promise you.

The conditions, in plain English

  • New subscribers only. ServiceM8's line: "only accounts with new ServiceM8 subscriptions, starting after 22 August 2023, are eligible". Been running it since 2019 and want the mess sorted? I will sort it. There is no rebate on the end.
  • Sixty days. The claim goes in within 60 days of the work being completed and paid for and the subscription starting. Shorter than it sounds in a busy summer.
  • Finished work, settled invoice. A quote does not count. Nor a deposit.
  • One claim, all invoices in it together. Training now and setup in six months is the wrong order.
  • Your partner has to be certified and listed. ServiceM8's words: "a claim can only be made for ServiceM8 setup & training services provided by a certified & listed ServiceM8 Partner, as can be found on the ServiceM8 Partner Directory." Both halves. Certified but absent from the directory fails. I have been both since 31 July 2026, checkable in their directory rather than on my say-so.
  • You pay full price to begin with. Normal fee until the claim is approved, half price after.

It does not stack, and that matters if you are a new business

ServiceM8 are blunt: "this offer does not 'stack' with any other ServiceM8 offer or reward e.g. if your claim is approved, any active discounts on your new subscription will be replaced with this offer."

Replaced. Not added to.

The offer it collides with is the New Business Special: 50% off your first 12 months if your business is under two years old, claimed by emailing ServiceM8 support with a registration document showing the date, before you subscribe or inside 14 days of it. It is a good offer, and on most plans it is the smaller of the two. Not on all of them.

The two offers compared on each plan. They cannot be combined, so you are picking one.
PlanNew Business Special, 12 monthsRebate on an £800 invoiceBetter
Starter, £25£150£800, about 64 monthsRebate
Growing, £59£354£800, about 27 monthsRebate
Premium, £119£714£800, about 13 monthsRebate
Premium Plus, £269£1,614£800, about 6 monthsNew Business Special

On every plan a normal trade business would actually start on, the rebate wins comfortably. The one exception is Premium Plus, where half of £269 for a year comes to £1,614 and beats even the £1,000 maximum. If you are a brand new business genuinely starting on 1,500 jobs a month, take the discount and pay for your setup out of your own pocket. That will be almost nobody, but I would rather say it than have you find out afterwards.

And be clear about the order of events, because this is the part people get wrong. If your claim is approved while the New Business Special is already running, the discount is replaced, not topped up. You lose whatever months were left on it. On Growing that is a few months of £29.50 you were expecting and no longer get, which the £800 more than covers, but it is not free and nobody tells you.

Never let anyone present the two as one deal. The same goes for the 30% partner referral discount. An approved claim replaces an active discount, every time.

Ready to make a claim worth making

The rebate only pays out against a partner who is certified and listed in ServiceM8’s Partner Directory. I am both, so an invoice from me qualifies. Pay £800 for setup and training, get £800 back as credit.

  • £650 Setup
  • £800 Setup and training
  • £250 Training only

How to actually claim it

  1. Subscribe through the web dashboard first. A browser, servicem8.com/login-page, your plan. This is the step you cannot undo.
  2. Find your partner in the Partner Directory before you pay them. Not their website. ServiceM8's directory. If they are not on it the claim fails, and nobody tells you until afterwards.
  3. Have the work done and settle the invoice in full. Setup, training, or both. Keep the invoice, it is the evidence.
  4. Submit the claim inside 60 days, every relevant invoice in the one submission. The route is on ServiceM8's rebate page, linked at the top.
  5. Keep paying full price until it is approved. Then watch the next bill halve.

The claim is yours to make, not mine. I cannot approve it or chase it. What I can do is word the invoice for what ServiceM8 want to see, and make sure the partner half of the test was satisfied the day you paid.

I have an obvious interest here, so read this bit twice

Of course I like this scheme. It is the best argument I have got. I charge £800, ServiceM8 hands you £800 back, and the thing I sell ends up costing you nothing over the life of the subscription. If that sounds like something a bloke selling setup would invent, fair suspicion.

So, plainly: it is not my scheme. It is ServiceM8's, out of their money, approved or refused by them. My only role is being the kind of partner whose invoice qualifies, and I am paid the same whether you claim or not. The money comes from a Customer Success Fund ServiceM8 put at $2,000,000, and their page says the offer ends "once exhausted, and without notice". Nobody can promise it lasts.

One more thing. The rebate is a reason to buy setup, not a reason to buy ServiceM8. Credit against the wrong software is a slower loss, nothing better. The limitation most likely to bite: the full app runs on iPhone and iPad only, and Android gets a cut-down version called ServiceM8 Lite that cannot take a card payment on site or see anybody else's schedule. Old job history stays behind, there being no bulk import for past jobs. And there is no inventory system of its own, only stock levels mirrored from Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks Online, which move when a synced invoice is approved. My comparison against Tradify covers where the answer is the other product, and the wider look at alternatives is there if you are earlier on.

Every day you wait is a day of evening admin you are not getting back. Pick a package and I will have you live in a few days.

The real number

Setup and training with me is £800. New subscriber, subscribed through the web dashboard, claim in inside 60 days, and ServiceM8 credits you £800. On Growing that is half price for two years and a bit. The software pays for the setup, and every number in it is checkable on ServiceM8's page rather than mine.

The three packages are here: training £250, setup £650, setup and training £800. Want to know what ServiceM8 actually does first? Start there. Still deciding whether you need this kind of system at all? Read how to choose job management software.

Common questions

How does the ServiceM8 rebate work?

ServiceM8 pays back 100% of what you paid a certified, directory-listed partner for first-time setup and training, capped at £1,000. Pay a partner £800 and you get £800 back. It arrives as credit against your subscription rather than cash, applied at 50% of your plan's base price each month until the credit runs out. On the Growing plan at £59 a month, £800 of credit is roughly 27 months at half price.

Is the ServiceM8 rebate paid in cash?

No. ServiceM8's terms say plainly that no cash is being offered. The credit is applied to your monthly ServiceM8 subscription payments at a rate of 50% of your plan's base price, until it is used up. So you pay half your normal monthly fee for a long stretch instead of receiving a payment. On Starter at £25 a month, £800 of credit lasts 64 months.

Who qualifies for the ServiceM8 setup and training rebate?

New subscribers only, meaning accounts with ServiceM8 subscriptions starting after 22 August 2023. The work has to be complete and paid for, the claim has to go in within 60 days, and all invoices must be submitted together as one claim. The partner who did the work must be both certified by ServiceM8 and listed in the ServiceM8 Partner Directory, rather than one or the other.

Can I claim the rebate if I subscribed through the iPhone app?

No. ServiceM8 requires you to subscribe through the Online Dashboard at servicem8.com/login-page. The offer is not compatible with any other route, including Apple In App Purchase, third-party app stores, and subscribing through your Xero account. This is the most common way people lose the money, because tapping subscribe inside the iPhone app is the obvious thing to do and nothing warns you at the time.

Does the ServiceM8 rebate stack with other discounts?

No. ServiceM8's terms state that the offer does not stack with any other ServiceM8 offer or reward, and that an approved claim replaces any active discounts on your new subscription. That covers the New Business Special, which gives 50% off for 12 months to businesses under two years old, and the partner referral discount. The rebate is usually worth more: on Growing it runs about 27 months rather than 12.

How much does ServiceM8 cost in the UK?

As at 17 August 2026 the UK plans are Free at £0 for one user and 30 jobs a month, Starter at £25, Growing at £59, Premium at £119 and Premium Plus at £269. Every paid plan has unlimited users, and the price is set by monthly job volume. Prices exclude VAT. Those base prices matter here, because the rebate credit is applied at half the base price each month.

Is ServiceM8 free?

There is a genuinely free plan: one user, 30 jobs a month, and you earn extra job credits every time you take a card payment through ServiceM8 and Stripe. It is a real plan rather than a trial, and there is also a 14 day free trial of everything with no card needed. The rebate credit comes off a monthly subscription, though, so it has nothing to reduce on the free plan.
